Established in 1931, the Fair Harbor Fire Department is responsible for providing Fire and EMS protection to the Fair Harbor, Dunewood and Lonelyville communities of Fire Island, NY.
Our all-volunteer department has over 40 active members who continually train to provide the highest quality fire suppression and emergency medical care.
The firehouse, located in the center of the Fair Harbor commercial district, houses our emergency response vehicles, provides storage for all our equipment, provides a space for training, and provides office space for the fire district and chief.
